Lennon Stella Is Joined By Kevin Garrett For Spotify Singles Recording

Many artists had grand plans for 2020, but the eventuating situation forced many artists to re-think their strategies and find new ways to connect with their audiences. Among them is Canadian singer Lennon Stella, who released her standout debut album ‘Three. Two. One‘ in April and had an extensive tour scheduled.

However that didn’t stop Stella, she has used her time in isolation to come up with new ways to connect with audiences, having released a series of acoustic alternative versions to her Columbia Records debut album as well as hosting a live streams. She also joined John Legend as a special guest for a Budweiser Stage At Home livestream.

Now Spotify has brought her on for their coveted ‘Singles’ series, which sees artists release an alternative version of their releases and in the case of Lennon Stella, also covering a release from another artist. Previous artists in the series range from Alessia Cara, SG Lewis to Troye Sivan, Jhene Aiko and Lewis Capaldi.

For this Spotify Singles release, it was recorded at Stella’s home studio in Nashville. Side A is a reimagined version of Lennon’s single ‘Fear of Being Alone’ meanwhile Side B is a cover of Paul Young’s ‘Everytime You Go Away’ featuring Kevin Garrett, with whom she was set to tour with earlier this year.
