Listen: Doja Cat Recruits Nicki Minaj For ‘Say So Remix’, Putting Their Beef To Rest

If you haven’t heard of Doja Cat‘s mega-hit ‘Say So’ or come across her outrageously hilarious and often weird tweets, you’ve been doing life and quarantine all wrong. Since it releases the infectiously catchy ‘Say So’ has become Doja’s most successful song to date, amassing over 300 million streams on Spotify, 20 million videos on TikTok and peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

So what do you do when you have one of the hottest songs on the planet, well, in this case, Doja Cat enlisted none other than Nicki Minaj to add her flavour to the track in the remix. The new version was announced earlier this week along with a teaser on Instagram and the internet lost their cool with anticipation understandably as the two had previously been beefing since some comments were thrown back and forth regarding one of her previous songs.

Dropping today, the new remix on first listen keeps the infectiousness and spices it up with the slick feature from Minaj. The controversial icon lays down a catchy verse reminding us why she’s still one of the top female rappers in the game, it even includes a cheeky reference to the current coronavirus pandemic with social distancing given a shoutout.

Having first heard discovered Doja Cat when she dropped ‘So High’ many years ago, I was more than pleased to see her take over the internet with her rather comedic ‘Moo’ and then come back to a breakthrough on a global scale on a more credible note. ‘Say So’ is taken from her 2019 album ‘Hot Pink’ which was, for the most part, a solo record aside from features from Tyga, Gucci Mane and Smino.
