Lo-fi Meets EDM in wonder-collab: “Water Polo”

After an incredible year filled with countless achievements including amassing over 800 thousand streams on Spotify, Blookah is back again with his new song: with Mary Bozaan: “Water Polo”

The producer and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Iowa is one of the most stand-out producers in his area and with over 15 years of experience as a musician, he’s creating a unique style that blends a variety of genres, from Boom-bap to House music, to Lofi and Hip-Hop, crafting his own inviting, signature sound.

“Water Polo” is a chilled-out, laid-back gem that perfectly captures Blookah’s essence as an artist, complemented by soothing vocals from Mary Bozzan who’s carefree performance makes this song feel as though it were made especially for her. But, as Blookah says:

Water Polo was the first of hopefully many collaborations with my longtime friend Mary Bozaan. We had worked together on other people’s projects before and wanted to put out some music but the timing was never quite right. I had written the music for “Water Polo” this last summer after an inspiring weekend in nature and when I revisited the song, Mary seemed like she’d be a perfect fit for the vibe. The timing was perfect this time around and her ear for melody and her honest lyrics really took the track to a whole other place.

Groovy bass-lines, attractive sound design, and ear-candy instruments make this a memorable track that stays fresh after several listens.
