Loca Recordings Returns with “Back to You” Remix EP

As time goes on and trends come and go, it’s getting a bit hard to find a consistent label for festival music outside of the usual suspects like Revealed Recordings, Smash The House, and some Armada sublabels. After new owners acquired Loca Recordings, they’re ready to make a splash with three stunning remixes of their last single, “Back To You” by Somero, Swede Dreams, with vocals from Alex Holmes.

Leading the pack, we have big room legend, Olly James, who turned the progressive track into a festival smasher. He brings his signature kicks and hard-hitting bass and pairs it with an aggressive synth that is sure to wind up any crowd. With his consistent livestreams, Patreon packs, and strong social media presence, Olly James is one of the most positive forces for festival music and his release on this underground label shows a vote of confidence in its future.

Next we have Castion who revamps the track with an energetic groove flare. The quality of the drops rivals that of Fonk Recordings with it’s clean percussive melody and dynamic bassline. The vocals in the breakdown also received a retouch with some vocoder work that ensures the track stays engaging throughout its runtime.

Spinnin’ Records veteran Nick Double rounds out the trio of remixes with a bass house approach. A forward-thinking lead characterizes his version and shows that while Loca is expanding its portfolio of genres to remain competitive moving forward.

When all is said and done, the future of Loca Recordings looks to be very promising as they rise up to fill a much-needed gap for festival music in the EDM scene. Keep an eye out for their next single coming out November 8th and stream these three remixes using the links below!
