Logic Returns From Retirement With ‘Intro’, Produced By 6ix

Alongside the release of his No Pressure album in July 2020, Logic announced his retirement. Less than a year later and he is back, in an official capacity. The Maryland born rapper has been working on music since his break, putting mixtapes out under different alias and now official confirmed, music under ‘Logic’.

Consistently streaming on Twitch, Logic worked with a slew of artists on new music and delved more into the production side of things. It’s clear that while he retired, that was largely due to the music business, not the music itself.

Logic made his return with a node to Michael Jordan’s statement when returning to the NBA. “The following statement was released today by Logic, through his attorney Paul Rothenberg Partner of Rothenberg, Mohr & Binder, LLP located in NYC, in response to questions about his future career plans: ‘I’m back,’” the press release read.

The single is a return to the Logic we know and love, largely thanks to long time producer 6ix’s insane beat. At just 1 minute 41 seconds, it’s certainly one of Logic’s shortest songs but that does not reduce its quality. Featuring the old school piano and ryhtm, ‘Intro’ really brings us back to the early days of Bobby.

The track title ‘Intro’ seems to imply there will be more, which makes sense considering his return. Maybe a new Logic album is on the horizon?
