Logic Returns To Form With ‘Bobby Tarantino III’ Album

After a short lived retirement through 2020 up until he officially returned with ‘Intro’ in June, Logic has dropped his newest LP: Bobby Tarantino III.

Logic has already debuted a number of projects this year, including the Young Sinatra compilation LP YS Collection Vol. 1, and announced that a collaborative album with Madlib was in the works through the two rappers’ new duo, dubbed MadGic. Logic began the album rollout with a number of singles, allowing him to release projects weekly for seven consecutive weeks.

Bobby Tarantino III, as evident by the title, is the third album from Logic’s Bobby Tarantino series. The previous albums dropped in 2016 and 2018. The name of the mixtapes came from Bobby, being Logic’s name and Tarantino, after Quentin Tarantino – Logic’s favourite director and inspiration.

Sam Spratt returns as the art creator, which continues a similar red vibe to previous Bobby Tarentino albums.

Included in Bobby Tarantino III are previously released singles ‘Vaccine’, ‘Call Me’, ‘My Way’ and ‘Get Up’, along with 8 fresh new singles. Notable singles include ‘See You Space Cowboy…’ and ‘Inside’ together with (the only feature on the album) Cynthia Erivo.

Logic also notes this will be his last album on Def Jam, likely due to his contractual obligations being fulfilled. It will be exciting to see where he takes his next venture, likely being independent.

First responses from fans are mixed, with many excited for the new album and Logic music in general. But some are calling it the worst project from the Maryland born rapper… Best you make your mind up yourself as the 12 track project is certainly worth a listen!
