Lost Frequencies and Mokita Team Up For Duo Chill-Pop Collab: “Black & Blue”

With a plethora of hits and accolades under his belt, multiplatinum selling Belgian artist Lost Frequencies is far from a one-hit wonder, with anything he touches becoming an instant, commercial banger. Expanding on his release catalogue with his latest single “Simple,” a collaboration with Nashville-based producer and composer Mokita, Black & Blue is a fun, groovable song, perfect to lead us out of summer and into the Fall.

“When I heard Mokita’s demo of ‘Black & Blue’, I immediately fell in love with his voice and the vibe of the track. I’m so happy with the final result of this single. It’s my second single after ‘Here With You’ that doesn’t really fit the ‘House’ theme, but I think it fits my whole universe and I’m curious to hear what people think when they hear this track for the first time!”

The track grew out of a demo from Mokita, originating from a palm-muted guitar riff coupled with lyrical and melodic ideas from Mokita’s friend: Stephen Puth, who later joined the session. Lost Freququencies subsequently added his production magic and the result was a warm, pleasantly laid-back track, striking the perfect balance between pop and mellow vibes.
