Mars IX And Dynamique Enlist EIHDZ For House Gem “Nicotine”

Marking their third original release, following “Rainbow” featuring J-Pag and “My Crew” with Tyrell Drew, Mars IX are definitely starting to leave their mark on the scene while catching a lot of attention from industry professionals and house music lovers alike. Already signed to Higher Reign Music Group (Sony Music Canada), Mars IX’s first two releases have amassed just over 600k plays on Spotify, propelling the anonymous duo into a potentially massive career.

Now they have teamed up with nu disco talent Dynamique and vocalist EIHDZ to release addictive house tune “Nicotine”, marking their most exciting release to date. A piano-driven house anthem, “Nicotine” starts off with EIHDZ’s stunning vocals and an intoxicating atmosphere that slowly builds up, leading to a minimal and well produced drop.

“Nicotine is a song about a constant struggle with one’s self,” explains Mars IX. “The balance between being an obsessive lover or heartless introvert is highlighted in the lyrics of the record. As the story unfolds, the lyricist’s metaphorical need for their partner’s love, like their need for nicotine, comes to light, proving that humans have a need for affection from other humans. Unfortunately, we believe that sometimes, people choose the wrong kinds of attention to fulfill their needs and we hope that when people hear this song, they’re able to disassociate themselves with negative kinds of love, attention, or affection that they are pursuing and are able to bring themselves into a place of positive energy and healing.”
