MEDUZA Unleashes House Monster, ‘Born To Love’

Writing house records is a fine art, requiring nuanced acumen of vocals which work and basslines which bang. Few possess this acumen, but MEDUZA is one of them, having made his name in the genre over the last couple of years with records that display exactly his extensive production prowess. ‘Born To Love’ with SHELLS is his latest offering, a minimalist yet stellar house banger that sees a release via Defected Records.

SHELLS provides the perfect, old-school vocal backdrop, against which a punchy percussional loop and a mesmerizing melodic arpeggio capture listeners’ attention. Although the tune does away with emphasis on the bright and groovy hi-hats that are almost a hallmark of the genre, the minimalist production does well to highlight the truly exemplary elements of the mix: the bassline and the percussion.

Riding off of his hit singles ‘Lose Control‘ and ‘Piece Of Your Heart‘, ‘Born To Love’ is another phenomenal addition to his discography, no doubt heralding many more such bangers to come.
