If you havnt’t yet heard the infectiously catchy “Piece Of Your Heart” from MEDUZA and Goodboys, you’re probably living under a rock because this hit has clocked up more than 32 Million streams on Spotify and taken over the radio waves from the UK and across the pond in the US.
Now today, we are happy to be able to hear it in a new light given we received the first official remix from the UK tastemaker James Hype. When you’ve heard a song this catchy so many times, the first listen of a remix is always slightly terrifying, but today we can confirm this ones a success. But that shouldn’t be a surprise given Hype’s past releases include the Kelli-leigh featuring “More Than Friends” and official remixes of Bruno Mars’s “Finesse”, and Mabel’s “Fine Line”.
Hype adds his own unique house style flip that will go down a treat in the club sets and adds a bit more energy while keeping the originals infectiously catchy groove in place. The new cut adds a more gritty tech touch to it and in a smart move, replaces the catchy voice recording to give the remixer a cheeky plug, which we hope to hear on any forthcoming mixes as well.
