Growing up in a musical household, it was only a matter of time before MIZE started producing electronic music and building a growing and loyal audience. Inspired by massively influential acts such as Tipper and Netsky, MIZE officially launched his project back in 2017, and has since performed in front of thousands at festivals such as WAKAAN Music Festival, High Caliber, and Bonnaroo.
The Alabama-bred producer made his debut on WAKAAN back in August of 2020 with “Thought Process,” following it up in November with an EP of the same name. Now, he has come to SSKWAN to share his brand new EP Balancing Act, arguably one of his most exciting projects to date. Spanning over 6 downtempo bass tracks, driven by ethereal melodies, gritty basslines and energetic percussion, Balancing Act truly showcases MIZE at his best.
“Balancing Act is both a call back to some of the sounds and places that made this project come together in the beginning as well as a foreshadow of the new ideas, techniques, and themes I’ve been diving into as of late. Constantly as I grow older I notice that many aspects of my life are endless periods of balancing many things whether they be relationships, work, leisure, time, and even things as simple as taking care of your own body. I find that sometimes being an artist can be a Balancing Act of adopting new ideas while also attempting to keep the essence of what brought me here alive,” explains MIZE.
