Neon Owl has announced a formal partnership with Los Angeles’ Icon Collective, one of the music industry’s most recognized production schools and home to alumni such as SLANDER, NGHTMRE, JAUZ, and Pauline Herr. The collaboration begins with a full-day event on April 19 at Icon’s Burbank campus—marking a new phase in Neon Owl’s 10-year legacy of artist development, education, and community-building.
Following a successful Winter Music Conference showing, which included a panel with Crystal Waters and Aluna as well as a sold-out anniversary showcase featuring BEAUZ, Neon Owl now shifts its focus to Los Angeles. The April 19 activation will feature a full schedule of programming, including songwriting workshops, music industry mixers, demo listening sessions, and speed networking under the collective’s Open Door Sessions brand. That same evening, Neon Owl will host a stage takeover at SOMNA’s Pathways event at Catch One, offering Open Decks participants a chance to perform on site.

Founded by Elaine and Raymond Huang, Neon Owl has become an influential grassroots collective recognized for its dual focus on music education and social impact. Through a decade of global activations from San Francisco to Amsterdam, the organization has worked with partners like ADE, Anjunabeats, Create Music Group, and The Whet Foundation to bridge professional opportunities with purpose-driven outreach—supporting causes ranging from animal rescue to mental health advocacy.
The partnership with Icon Collective reflects a deeper alignment between two institutions focused on empowering the next generation of artists. For Neon Owl, it’s a continuation of its artist-first mission. For Icon, it brings real-world activation into its educational framework. Together, they are creating a sustainable pipeline that merges mentorship, exposure, and execution for emerging talent across the electronic music space.
