New Dance Sounds: Afrojack, Duke Dumont, Timmy Trumpet, Brooks + More

With basically all shows cancelled for artists, we now have to turn to the other component of artist’s live; the music. Mid March sees plenty of solid releases such as new records from Porter Robinson and Flume, as well as Calvin Harris providing us with the third iteration of his side act. Below you will find new music from Duke Dumont, Afrojack and Fedde Le Grand, Devault & The Bloody Beetroots and plenty more ready for the weekend!

Afrojack & Fedde Le Grand feat. MC Ambush – 1234 [Wall]

‘1234’ presents a surprising collab between Afrojack and Fedde Le Grand – two acts who have not really mingled that much in the past! The production brings back Afrojack’s iconic Dutch sound that we haven’t unfortunately heard in a little bit. With vocals from Afrojack’s touring MC, ‘1234’ is an lively track that is sure to hype the dullest of crowds.

Duke Dumont – Love Song [Virgin EMI]

Duke Dumont continues his string of single releases with ‘Love Song’. With soothing vocals and melodies, this is another brilliant release from the British artist. Not his best, but certainly a solid release.

Devault & The Bloody Beetroots – Hold On [Insomniac]

In order to be excited for this track, you just need to see the two names on the title. These two electronic powerhouses together would create mayhem and that’s exactly what’s happened with ‘Hold On’. The gritty nature of the release is typical of this combination, whilst it is slightly underwhelming – it’s still a highlight of this week!

Brooks feat. Gia Koka – Say A Little Prayer [STMPD]

Brookes has taken some weight of his unreleased track collection by releasing ‘Say A Little Prayer’. The vocals by Gia Koka work flawlessly with the instrumental, intertwining throughout the drop and breaks perfectly. This is surely another hit for the talented Dutchman!

ARTY x Stellz – Outburst [Armada]

ARTY changes things up with ‘Outburst’, a collaboration with Stellz. Instead of going for a commercial melodic approach that we’ve come to expect from the Russian artist – he delves into a harder, grittier sound that is accompanied by cinematic and inspirational vocals. We hope this isn’t the last of this sound we hear from ARTY!

Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Code Black & Toneshifterz – FUCK YEAH [Spinnin’]

This foursome of artists takes the ‘Fuck Yeah’ chant to the next level with their new release. These artists bring their hardcore sounds together for a massive hardstyle production that fans will have a field day with!

Jason Ross – For Love [Anjunabeats]

After delivering his tremendous album ‘1000 Faces’ just a few weeks ago, Jason Ross is already back and this time it’s on Anjuna. ‘For Love’ takes us back to his vibrant progressive trance sound and many have come to love. Just like previous productions from Jason, this is just as goosebump worthy.

Blanke feat. Nevve – Fragile Violence [Downright]

Blanke brings us another exciting electronic record together with talented vocalist Nevve. ‘Fragile Violence’ emits energy with it’s addicting drops and vocals. The Australian artist has provided another stellar track that will have the American audience very excited, Blanke keeps on getting better and better!

Tujamo & LOTTEN – One Million [Spinnin]

‘One Million’ sees Tujamo bring his signature sound that took him to the top with ‘Who’. Working with LOTTEN, they have created a fresh 2020 release that utilises the sound in an ideal manner. This is another exciting release that is the perfect balance between a underground and overground dance track.

Solardo & Eli Brown – My Life [Ultra]

After these two powerhouses collaborated last year on ‘XTC’, it was clear that it would do well – it exceed expectations. Now they’re back with ‘My Life’. Following on similar pattern to ‘XTC’, the trio include deep vocals and a catchy house beat.

Sunset Bros & Dimatik – Stranger [Cinematik]

Hardstyle & bounce champion Dimatik pairs up with progressive & trance beatmakers Sunset Bros to present “Stranger”. The single bridges each of the genres the artist represents and showcases a melodically unique sound. The mood-lifiting instrumental is tightly wrapped with soft, lush vocals that will easily warm the soul.

Far Out & Karra – Constellation [Ophelia]

Far Out debuts on Seven Lions’ Ophelia imprint with ‘Constellation’. Teaming up with Karra, the pair create a thrilling electronic masterpiece that is aided by both Far Out’s incredible production and Karra’s angelic vocals. This is the duet’s third coupling and it should not be their last!

Dombresky & Boston Bun – Stronger [Toolroom]

French house superstar Dombresky returns to Toolroom, this time in conjunction with Boston Bun’s for ‘Stronger’. The funky house production finds the correct home at Toolroom – this would have been a solid hit during Miami Music Week – but unfortunately that will not be the case anymore.

Biarai – Mystery [Bourne]

Direct from the Italian underground scene, Biarai makes his debut on Will Sparks’ Bourne Recordings with ‘Mystery’, a hard hitting main stage anthem with gorgeous original vocals. With a hard hitting and lively drop, ‘Mystery’ is undoubtedly Biarai’s best yet.
