Nicky Romero Refreshes His 2011 Hit ‘Toulouse’ With New Edit

Nicky Romero catapulted his career with ‘Toulouse’ back in 2011 and was definitely a stand out track from that era. Now, 8 years later, Romero has injected the production with 2020 elements for a modern twist.

The original was signed to Spinnin, which now understandably sees the release of the edit also. The new edit keeps all the signatures elements such as the killer melody. It adds an energetic drop similar in nature to David Guetta and MORTEN’s Future Rave sound and Nicky Romeros own ‘Burning’ and ‘Redefine’ EP.

Nicky Romero actually had the waveform for ‘Nothing Toulouse’ tattooed onto his arm, clearly signifying this importance of this release for him. As much as he’d like to promote this new release, that may be a struggle for the Dutch artist who recently confirmed he was unfortunately diagnosed with COVID-19.

Whether or not you prefer the original or the 2020 edit, it’s great to see this amazing record get a breathe of fresh air and live its second life.
