Nikita, the Wicked and Darby Flip the Script With Bass Heater ‘REWIND’

Nikita, the Wicked and Darby have released their new collaborative single “REWIND,” released officially on Boom Records. The track inquisitively blends calculated bass design alongside an unpredictable structure, opening with a dense buildup and shifting midway into a drum & bass section. Designed to peak a set and come in with a blast, “REWIND” highlights what happens when two great artists come together.

Darby, who has previously released on Ninja Tune, Nightmode, Monstercat, and Bitbird, brings a technical and forward-thinking style to the collaboration. “REWIND’ came together naturally—it’s structured chaos with a deep appreciation for the elements that make bass music so impactful,” he shared regarding the process. Nikita, the Wicked, known for his remixes for Louis The Child, NGHTMRE, and Dabin, emphasized the track’s duality: “‘REWIND’ is a reflection of both of our styles, delivered with a level of execution that makes this track hit as hard as possible.”

The single follows a period of growing momentum for both artists.

Nikita has signed with UTA for touring, debuted at HiJinx Festival, and has joined upcoming tour dates with Zeds Dead and WhatSoNot. His recent releases on Gud Vibrations and Boom Records, alongside official remixes, signal a focused expansion of his catalog. Darby, originally from Australia and continuing is growing fast, has built a great laser-focused bass-heavy sound that dabbles in a little genre fusion. His recent singles, including “PARTY,” “Everything,” and a remix of “Say My Name,” have scored millions of streams and support from artists like Skrillex, Disclosure, and ODESZA.

“REWIND” serves as a collaborative benchmark for both producers, showcasing their ability to create incredible material as one.
