PNAU Returns with New Single ‘Solid Gold’ Featuring Kira Divine and Marques Toliver

Australia’s electronic legends PNAU are back today with new music, they traditionally left us hanging for half a decade between releases, however their game-changing album ‘Changa’ switched things up and today they continue that trend with the release of a grooving new single ‘Solid Gold’.

The new record features Kira Divine the voice of the hits ‘Chameleon’ and ‘Go Bang’, and Florida’s Marques Toliver, both of whom wrote the song together with the band in LA. It’s a banger built to soundtrack good times but, Littlemore says, it’s also about “the love of a best friend and being able to depend on people”.

The hit making trio Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore are no stranger to being featured on or behind some of the biggest songs collectively or on their own, but unquestionably when they team up we always get something really special.

They first teased ‘Solid Gold’ during their packed main-stage set at last year’s Splendour in the Grass and now with three upcoming dates across Australia we know fans are going to be chanting along to this instant anthem.

On writing the song with Marques the Little more was quoted as saying “We’d never even met before, but he stayed with us in our house here and we worked crazy hours making all of this music […] He’s so energetic and full of ideas”. Meanwhile although they had worked with Kira before it was a different dynamic as she was writing something from scratch together, she knows how the band sounds melodically and Littlemore says “It was a really exciting moment for us to have worked with her as a session singer and then to have her come in and melodically add so much,” .

“With dance music there’s still infinite possibilities creatively,” Littlemore says and we could agree more. Its out now via etcetc, listen to it below on Spotify! Or check it out on other platforms here
