Remix Radar 012: Featuring Martin Solveig, Sonny Fodera, and MK

Welcome to the 12th edition of Remix Radar. This week is full of unadulterated sexiness that can only be rivaled by the Most Extraordinary Man in The World. In other words, get ready for the dirtiest, sweatiest, and dankest Remix Radar ever!

ALMA – Lonely Night (Martin Solveig Remix)

Martin Solveig drenches ALMA’s “Lonely Night” in deep and zesty club vibes. Overall, the remix is a tantalizing play for late-night parties this summer.

BURNS with A$AP Rocky and Sabrina Claudio – Energy (Sonny Fodera Remix)

Sonny Fodera unfurls a veil of sexiness over BURNS’s “Energy”. There’s a slithering coolness that entrances listeners’ souls to sway to the beat. To top it off, I’ve never heard A$AP sounding so seductive.

Lost Frequencies Ft. Aloe Blacc – Truth Never Lies (Maxim Lany Remix)

Maxim Lany highlights a masterful prowess on his remix of “Truth Never Lies”. A deep beat and sensual sound design make for arguably the coolest remix in this edition.

Anabel Englund – So Hot (MK x Nightlapse Remix)

MK and Nightlapse drip sexy house vibes allover Anabel Englund’s “So Hot”. The two artists combine to create a very sleek production that includes an interesting vocal chop and synth progression.

Channel Tres – Sexy Black Timberlake ( SG Lewis Remix)

Channel Tres’s “Sexy Black Timberlake” has exploded on the scene, appearing on many mixes, sets, and SiriusXM. SG Lewis spins “Sexy Black Timberlake” into a disco, funk-tronic stunner. This song is as seductive as peak Isaac Hayes.

Jon Hopkins – Emerald Rush (Solomun Remix)

One of my favorite tracks of 2018, Jon Hopkins’ “Emerald Rush” receives an astro-exploratory remix from Solomun. I don’t want to spoil it, but somehow the track can become even more atmospheric.

Monolink – Black Day (Adam Beyer Remix)

Everyone’s favorite Swedish techno artist, Adam Beyer, eviscerates the senses with his remix of Monolink’s “Black Day”. The song dances around the inner workings of your mind with the precision of a possessed ballerina.

Zeds Dead – Lift You Up (13 Remix)

This one is for the Bassheads. Zeds Dead’s “Lift You Up” receives a bass remix from burgeoning 13. The masked DJ induces mass mind melt with his masterful command of bass and distortion. Save this for when you’re in the need of waking up.

ONE FROM THE VAULT

Raphael Gualazzi – Reality and Fantasy (Gilles Peterson Remix)

To cap off this week’s Remix Radar, I felt it fitting to continue the “cool” vibes. What better way than from French maestro, Gilles Peterson. He spins Raphael Gualazzi piano-jazz track, “Reality and Fantasy”, into a hypnotic house track. Gilles Peterson constructs an insatiable energy and an alluring beat conjuring the intrigue of everyone in its wake.
