Tommy La Croix † Brings House / Downtempo Vibes To The Public With Album ‘Requiem D’amour’

Also known by his previous successful alias Thomas H., the solo electronic musician has now started something different he’s calling Tommy La Croix †. He’s dropped a few singles off of the album already, giving a teaser of the chill vibes that are set to take place. Now he’s pulled the curtain back, showing Requiem D’amour in all it’s glory.

The experience is quite diverse across the 5 tracks, when listening to each song to back to back. The moods, tempos, and instrumentation shifting dramatically one single to the next. Yet, the quality and personality per track is absolutely fascinating. For example, “Requiem d’amour,” which features strummed guitar, a downtempo feel, and and a slight western-influence combined, wouldn’t normally be thought of as something that fits alongside “Danza De Trompeta,” a more Latin / jazz / fusion inspired single full of flavor and rhythm. Tommy La Croix † finds a way to make it work, all the songs on the album clearly having gel that makes them feel connected.

Far from a dance-pop that has superficial, surface level meaning, Tommy La Croix † digs deep to put together something with depth and divinity behind it.

Tommy La Croix † seems to be just getting warmed up with this new venture, expect more goodness of this caliber to be coming from him soon.
