Psyonix’s Rocket League is heading into its 17th season with exciting new features. Starting November 28, Season 17 will introduce Online Free Play, offering fans unlimited access to private matches without needing a premium subscription. Players can now seamlessly connect with friends online, creating a more accessible and inclusive gaming experience.The main theme of Season 17 in Rocket League is classic gaming arcades, including an arcade inspired arena and more.
The free experience is very customizable too, with Soccar, Hoops, Snow Day and Dropshot Game Modes being accessible, along with all the Arenas already available in offline Free Play.
Later in December, Season 17’s theme song – Tokyo Machine’s all-new track, PLAY (VIP), out via Monstercat – will be free to claim in the shop as a Player Anthem!
“After releasing PLAY in Rocket League in 2019, it’s super exciting to take things to the next level with a new version of the track as Season 17’s theme song,” says Tokyo Machine. “I’m so pumped for my amazing crew to press play on PLAY (VIP) in the Rocket League Arena!”
As always, the new season brings a refreshed Rocket Pass featuring unique rewards, including the sleek Trailblazer car and the Icebreak Banner, which will be instantly earned for players logging in between December 4th and March 5th. Competitive season rewards for Season 16 will also be distributed, adding to the excitement for players returning to the arena.
With Online Free Play and its new arcade arena, Rocket League continues to evolve, maintaining its status as a leader in competitive and casual gaming alike. Fans can look forward to an action-packed season come Decmeber 4th!
