Italy’s rising electronic star Ruhde (a.ka. Davide Russo) is building up an impressive catalogue of releases and remixes. The up-and-coming songwriter and producer has been featured in renowned publication Forbes and caught the ears of The Chainsmokers, Ella Vos, Alessia Cara and Sandro Cavazza – with whom he’s landed official remixes. Now he’s back with a fresh new solo release called ‘Lean Back’.
The new single follows previous release ‘Stranger’ and several remixes. It is a minimalistic but soothing production that shows off Ruhde’s pop production sensibilities and highly crafted sound design. As always, he’s built it around a floorless vocal, and in all, it’s an impressive sun-soaked ear-pleaser.
At 21 years of age and quickly rising in the music scene, ‘Ruhde’ launched only 2 short years ago with an unofficial remix of Lauv’s hit single ‘I Like Me Better’ that now stands with over 6 million plays and counting online. He is without a doubt going set to leave his mark with his unique pop/electronic sound and this new offering is yet another reminder.
Ruhde has accumulated immense support from music press and he was recently nominated as ‘One To Watch’ in DJ Mag Italy. He indeed is most certainly an artist to watch, as his meteoric rise is not stopping anytime soon. His success is backed up by his songwriting talent and his attention to detail in music production.
