UKG favourite Sammy Virji has released his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Same Day Cleaning’. Out now via Astralwerks, the 16-track project cements his place as one of the most exciting names in dance music.
‘Same Day Cleaning’ is stacked with guest features and collaborations from iconic names across the worlds of UKG, grime, and dance. The album boasts appearances from Giggs on the opener ‘One For The Books’, Skepta on the recent single ‘Cops & Robbers’, Chris Lake on the club-ready ‘925’ and the super talented salute with ‘Survive’. Virji also bridges the old-school with the new, linking with UKG pioneers like MJ Cole on ‘Doctor’ and Tuff Jam on ‘Up & Down’. The extensive feature list also includes Spice, Flowdan, Unknown T, Champion, IRAH, and Issey Cross. Fresh melodic layers are added by rising producer 33 Below, rounding out a body of work that celebrates UK club culture at its finest.
The run-up to the album release and the singles that accompanied it have been very impressive, launching the project on the right foot. The number of singles that were dropped has garnered over 40 million streams, just on Spotify. Alongside his standout shows, Same Day Cleaning is the finishing touch to an amazing summer for the UK talent.
