Wynn Vegas Tease Swedish House Mafia Residency?

A few weeks ago, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso were set to perform at their XS Las Vegas residency, however Sebastian Ingrosso did not perform. This proposedly lead on to Swedish House Mafia pulling out of Ultra Korea.

Now, Wynn – this owners of the XS brand are teasing something that has very similar branding with Swedish House Mafia. The video, posted on their Instagram, looks like its teasing a new artist residency to be announced on June 25th.

With the branding being very close to Swedish House Mafia’s, either Wynn have actually secured the Swedish trio as a resident or a least one show, or they are using this branding to their advantage. Using similar blocky text, white and black elements and therefore creating the buzz, has led to great PR and marketing for their announcements, whether or not it’s actually SHM.

Whether or not its an announcement or the act performing on Tuesday – we’ll find out tomorrow. People have mentioned that Wynn will be closed on Tuesday, therefore it’s likely to just be an announcement. According to a promoter, they will be playing on the 30th of June – which is currently booked in as a Steve Angello show at XS. With this evidence, it’s definitely plausible that the Angello show could turn into a SHM one. We will see come Tuesday.
