Skrillex Is Set To Heavily Impact Electronic Music With ‘Quest For Fire’ Album

One of the kings of dance music; Skrillex has just released his brand new album, coming after 2014’s Recess.

The 45-minute album is something fans have been dreaming about for almost a decade now and it’s nothing but stunning. From tracks 1 to 15 – each track is unique within the album, whilst keeping the same theme and signature throughout.

It’s clear this album has been years in the making, it certainly sounds like it. The sound design and features are sensational and this is going to have a significant impact on electronic music at large. If they were not already, a sizeable amount of artists are sure to travel down the same vein as Quest For Fire in the coming year ahead.

With collaborations from the likes of Fred again.. to Porter Robinson to Missy Elliott – Skrillex swings for the fence with features and hits it out of the park.

Quest For Fire is not the only album dropping from Skrillex. The pioneering producer announced another album that he has already released a number of singles from entitled Don’t Get Too Close – which is likely to drop in the not-so-distant future.

The artist revealed in January that his recent absence from music came down to 2022 being “the toughest year of my life”, during which he felt “no drive and purpose for the first time”.

“For the first time in 4-5 years I’ve found a new sense of peace. It took so much work and sacrifice to get here,” he added. “The support you’ve all shown over the years does mean the world and I’ll continue to work on myself and not get into a situation where I have to cancel shows / go into hiding.”
