Sonny Moore aka Skrillex is on a roll lately. After his break in 2018 – things have really turned around release wise for the American. With little to no news about the EP before the release, this was definitely a pleasant surprise! The EP includes two releases; ‘Fuji Opener’ with Alvin Risk as well as ‘Mumbai Power’ in collaboration with Beam.
The track names are undoubtedly linked to the locations where he played them. We posted a video of him dropping the ‘Fuji Opener’ as the opening track at his set in Japan (Fuji) – so you can see the connection. And overall it makes for easy and simple names!
‘Fuji Opener’ previously known as ‘Ping Pong’, is a hard hitting trap-esque production with former collaborator Alvin Risk. On the other hand, ‘Mumbai Power’ seems like it would resonate with older Skrillex fans and includes his signature vocal chops and elements.
