She’s further worked with Zedd on ‘Clarity’ with Matthew Koma, and releases with Beyoncé, Macklemore, David Guetta, Kaskade, Travis Barker, Eminem, Seeb, and soundtracks for Fifty Shades Of Grey, Suicide Squad and Aquaman.

Hailing from a small town in remote America we meet Skylar Grey, we hear about her musical influences starting of from her multi-instrumental mother and barbershop quartet performing father to how she dropped out of high school, her analytical creative process and much more.

She also details landing her first record deal with Warner Brothers, which she signed after playing some songs in a hotel lobby and how she was dropped soon after she put out her debut album.

When she was 6 she joined a musical and formed a band with her mum performing around the nearby towns, by 10 years old she was performing in an opera and by the age of 14 she’d made 3 albums worth of music. On this episode shares her journey to getting to where she is today, it’s no easy feat to turn music into a full time career.
