There’s so much that can be said about SoDown, the most outstanding aspect being how much he nurtures and cares for his fanbase. To build excitement around this EP coming out, he went well beyond the call of duty in terms of not only dropping teaser content for the EP, but making the URL-to-IRL connection between the digital content and real life surprises for his fans something special.
Across the 3 videos he dropped ahead of the EP, he depicted himself sending off wax-sealed letters and uploading his music to USBs. Here’s what the fans got in the end: 30 lucky music lovers received letters with instructions to solve a cypher inside, which shared ‘new EP coming soon.” Other fans got SoDown branded USBs which allowed them to gain access to the EP early and share it the with SoDown online community. On top of this, 1 fan received meet-and-greet, backstage walkthrough, and free SoDown merchandise for his April 8th show happening at the RedRocks.
The EP is an absolute blast, showcasing the SoDown style and full dynamic range, there’s bass, there’s sax, there’s incredible sound writing and energy – this is one experience that’s simply hard to put down.
