Barkin Goes Big With ‘Sorry Human’ Released on Shuriken Sounds

Following the single “Feels Like,” Barkin is swinging fast with his single “Sorry Human,” boasting an imaginative theme within. As the name alludes to, “Sorry Human,” highlights the rapid pace our society is developing technology. It’s common knowledge that the era we are in is so evolutionary that components like the legal system and older age groups simple cannot keep pace with the movement of things. Through a tech-house framework and sick basslines, Barkin builds out a vibe that could fit into the soundtrack of I, Robot or Ready Player One. It makes the listener feel like they are immersed in a digital world at war with mech-bots as you support the global militia of resistance: humans.

However you interpret it, the vibe is fun and, sonically, the flow of things is well produced from tip to tail.

Barkin had this to share in relation to the release:

“The concept of ‘Sorry Human’ was developed a long time ago during my time at Icon Collective. I loved the idea of a Human and a robot having a conversation. You see it happen all the time today throughout society, even as simple as talking to Siri. Artificial Intelligence is slowly learning our every move. Our world is shifting to be more digital than ever before and you can hear that in how the human vocal evolves over time. I wanted that to symbolize society. By the end of the track, the human has evolved into a Cyborg.”
