Spotify Wrapped 2019 Is Here + Artist Stats

As the end of the year is nearing, Spotify unveils their ‘wrapped’ tool which allows for users to find out the key information bases on their listening habits.

Users can now find out their personal stats, primarily how many minutes listened, top genre, top acts and top tracks. You’ll be seeing it everywhere on social media in the coming days with everyone showcasing their musical 12 months.

Simply login with your Spotify account and Spotify will guide you through your year and decade.

With 2019 also acting as the last year of the decade, Spotify have integrated decade based tools.

Spotify have also revealed the statistics for global listens. Post Malone was the most streamed this year, with Billie Eilish second and Ariana Grande third. All three of these released albums this year – a likely key factor in their ranking. The most streamed album belonged to Billie Eilish’s ‘WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?’. The breakout genre belonged to Modern Bollywood, due to Spotify’s expansion into Indian in February. The top streamed track of the year was awarded to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s ‘Señorita’

In addition they launched their 2019 Artist “Wrapped” campaign, presenting artists with a custom micro-site celebrating their success on Spotify over the past year.  This is a destination (accessed via the Artists App) is specifically for artists to discover how their music connected with fans across the world. 

Artists can learn facts about their fan listening throughout the year including how many hours fans streamed their music, the highest number of fans they had in any one hour, as well as their growth in followers, listeners, streams and playlist additions.

Other cool additions include “amount of sleep fans lost listening” which is for the streams which came in during 1am-6am, as well as the country which gained the most and how many listeners had that artist as their number 1#.
