STRAINJER Drops Radiant Music Video For Their Debut Single ‘Cherry’s Bent’

Lighting up NYC’s music scene, STRAINJER is an electro-rock duo headed by music guru Timothy Layn. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Layn is also the genius behind renowned electronic duo The Golden Pony, who toured across the world following their accumulation of over 50 million streams and a #1 Beatport spot. STRAINJER encompasses contagious rhythms in their songs that takes full control of their audiences’ bodies, resulting in an outbreak of dance.

With mesmerizing guitar riffs and riveting vocals, STRAINJER’s debut anthem “Cherry’s Bent” emulates an 80s synth-pop vibe. Adding to the track’s allure, this band has decided to present fans with a captivating music video. The cinematic themes throughout the video can be traced back to Layn’s scooter rides across Brooklyn. As Layn drives his scooter throughout the Grand Theft Auto-like landscape he runs into trouble, love, and a ton of hilarious surprises.

Discussing the music video’s connection to STRAINJER’s identity, Layn explains, “it’s our first video, and I wanted to introduce some imagery of us playing live ahead of going on tour and having actual footage.  I also think some of the imagery like the analog TV backgrounds fits well with our aesthetic. I love being part of video productions, so this will be the first video of many!

Between the auditory marvel of “Cherry’s Bent” and its lighthearted but fascinating music video, STRAINJER is off to a thrilling start. The project showcases Layn’s outside-the-box approach to music and entertainment that is paving the way for future artists.

“My scooter that I rode in this video was stolen the night after we shot it! Thanks you CULTR for sharing this, Im going to send your post to my insurance agent and hopefully they knock off the deductible!”
