Ta-Ku Returns With Matt Mcwaters on “White” + Announces Capsule via 8 2 3

Australian chillwave icon Ta-ku is known for his delicate beats and stunning photography however he has been rather quiet on a music front in recent years. After gaining worldwide acclaim for his 2 part EP via Future Classic on the 2013 “Songs To Break Up To” and 2014’s “Songs To Make Up To” he’s since released only hand-full of releases, mostly with frequent collaborator Wafia. He’s certainly been busy though pursuing a variety of ventures such launching a creative agency PRETTY SOON and a fashion brand 8 2 3 through which he’s set to drop a capsule on July 7th called “Time Stands Still” which you can check out below.

In 2018 he re-issued his widely acclaimed 25 Nights For Nujabes” via Jakarta Records, but his only new release was a feature on “Interlude” a track on Wafia‘s EP “VIII”. Now however he’s back with “White” along with past collaborator Matt Mcwaters, originally released via Jakarta Records’ compilation “Seasons In Jakarta” it’s now been issued as a single giving it a wider attention.

Jakarta Records is a Berlin-based imprint which has released the likes of Mura Masa, Kaytranada, IAMNOBODI, Umse, Sango and more.
