Dillistone Releases Electronic-Pop Single “FuckBoy”

Today CULTR premiere’s Dillistone’s “FuckBoy”, a candidly honest piece with a uniquely dream-like quality. Although the song is minimalistic in style, the few instruments that Dillistone does choose to include are enchanting. It opens with an airy arpeggio sound while in the verses, an instrumental inspired by the sound of artists like Madeon and Louis The Child is heard, supporting a simple but powerful pop vocal line. In the chorus, groovy saw chords come in, inspired by the sound of Future Bass.  All in all, the track has a catchiness not often seen in others like it, and its lyrics are starkly original.

Morten Aamodt, known to his fans as “Dillstone”, has seen substantial musical success recently.  The Danish DJ-producer is likely best known for his hit remixes for A-list acts like Dua Lipa and Laurel & Frances, which have helped him reach a combined seventeen million streams on Spotify.  Now, he’s further exploring his sound with the release of “FuckBoy”, which he says reflects his past:

“Fuckboy’ is the honest conclusion to a year’s worth of reflection of how I behaved and treated people who genuinely cared for me. I was never abusive but I was able to say things and act in ways that would hide what I truly felt while maintaining the appearance everything was fine”Dillistone
