TATE SEDAR, a standout from the Insomniac Discovery Project, is ready to set the summer ablaze with “Emotions” featuring Clayton Brann, also known as P$YCHEDELIC. This track, a post-EDM gem, has been three years in the making, showcasing the trials and unique bond between TATE and the rising rapper. Clayton is known for his verses on “CLICK” by Ghengar and his debut single “Ballin’,” which racked up 4.7 million YouTube views. The song’s funky cuts, rolling bassline, and 808 drums echo influences like Noizu and Sage Armstrong.
Back in 2021, TATE unknowingly began crafting his post-EDM sound with “Emotions.” He ended up meeting Clayton at Countdown NYE 2023 and the seed was planted. Their mutual admiration and shared passion sparked a friendship that flourished over time. They reunited at Beyond Wonderland 2024, where Clayton had gained significant traction with “Ballin’” and “CLICK.”
The connection they built overtime was undeniable, and “Emotions” captures the essence of their bond.
After his global performance on the 2020 Insomniac Discovery Project: EDC Virtual Rave-a-Thon, TATE SEDAR joined the Insomniac Artists roster and gained over 5.7 million plays in 2023. He’s mixed alongside major artists at top venues like Academy LA and Avalon Hollywood. In 2024, he explores ‘post-EDM,’ blending analog and digital sounds, inspired by Motown, disco, hip-hop, and rock. Featured in top EDM blogs and radio, his notable tracks include “Heaven” and “Find a Way.” SEDAR’s work includes a remix of “Hero” by Terrell Carter and a video for Justin Bieber’s “Hold On” supporting Russo-Ukrainian war victims. This year, TATE is just getting warmed up and there will be plenty more to come.
