Nostalgic, Feel-Good Vibes Overflow As The Companions & clide Team Up On ‘Late Night’

Every time I chance upon a record that brings a bittersweet smile to my face with its soundscape, I know I’ve found my pot of gold for the week. The latest among these auditory pleasers comes courtesy of newcomers clide and The Companions, aptly titled ‘Late Night’. With a sweet midtempo rhythm headlined by clide’s melismatic voice and some stunning Midnight Kids-esque sound design, this tune is sure to make its way into your feel-good playlist.

Barring the soothing and surreal croonings from clide, this record finds its charm in the stunning drum programming (which draws parallels to this equally-vibe intensive bop) and the subtle melodic backing that urges you to hum along.

The single follows up their earlier collaboration on clide’s ‘broken parts‘, which racked in more than 3 million streams across platforms in just the two months it’s been since its release. If that figure isn’t any indication of their future success, ‘Late Night’ leaves no room for an alternative conclusion.
