Remix Radar 004: Featuring NGHTMRE, Arman van Buuren, and Weiss

The fourth edition of CULTR’s Remix Radar is here to brighten your week and give your eardrums a nice, warm embrace with delicious beats.

Oliver Tree – Hurt (NGHTMRE Remix)

NGHTMRE unleashes the perfect chill with his ice-dripped remix of Oliver Tree’s “Hurt”. The rising star, fresh off a Coachella and an EDC performance, injects vibe-y-ness straight to the veins of Oliver’ Tree’s growling rawness. The culmination is a satisfying breathe into dance music.

Van Halen – Jump (Armin van Buuren Remix)

I did not expect to ever hear a remix of Van Halen. Fortunately for us, Armin van Buuren was entrusted to remix “Jump”. The legend keeps the original’s spirit and energy while adding an electronic bite. Perfect for introducing your parents to dance music.

Netsky – Iron Heart (Nu:Logic Remix)

Nu:Logic serve up a dazzling re-birth to Netsky’s “Iron Heart”. The remix originally made noise a few months prior when it was released by Record Day Store in vinyl exclusive form. The remix comes from legends of DnB, Dan Gresham (Nu:Tone) and Matt Gresham (Logistics) and is a space-y DnB morsel.

MEDUZA – Piece Of Your Heart Ft. Goodboys (Weiss Remix)

Weiss has made quite the stir in the last year with the ultra successful, “Feel My Needs” and his collaboration with Becky Hill, “I Could Get Used To This” on Universal. It’s safe to say Weiss is becoming a house sensation. He remains in our minds with his piano laden remix of smash hit “Piece Of Your Heart” by MEDUZA.

LSD – No New Friends (Dombresky Remix)

Diplo can do no wrong. His collaboration with SIA and Labrinth has proven to be another successful artistic venture with their acid-tinge dance-pop. For their latest remix pack, they employ the French maestro, Dombresky, to instill the heaters and transform “No New Friends” into a fiery, sweat-drenched house tune. Another masterful track by Dombresky.

Sofi Tukker – Fantasy (Nora En Pure Remix)

Nora En Pure entrances with her own fantasy on Sofi Tukker’s latest remix of “Fantasy”. The South African legend strikes all the right chords and creates an ethereal experience for listeners transporting them on a journey through Avatar’s Pandora.

Stanton Warriors Ft. Sian Evans – Up2U (Rene Lavice Jungle Remix)

Rene Lavice provides a cosmic, spiritual ride through his jungle and DnB remix of Stanton Warriors’ “Up2U”. Sian Evans’ soulful vocals flourish among Rene’s dirty beats. The remix is in lead up to Stanton Warriors upcoming album, Rise, out May 31st, thus ending their four-year absence. The excitement is definitely boiling.

Klingande Ft. Jamie N Commons – By The River (Tuff London Remix)

Tuff London has created the dopest remix of a Klingande track to ever grace the Earth. The British duo mystified with a raw and tribal remix of “By The River”. I won’t spoil anymore of the fun. It’s amazing. GO LISTEN.

ONE FROM THE VAULT

Karl X Johan – Get It All (Bam Spacey Remix)

Deep from the depths of my vault I found a downtempo gem. Bam Spacey provide the remix of “Get It All” by Karl X Johan. Both artists lay relatively dormant and it doesn’t appear that either have new music on the horizon. It’s a shame because this remix is a beautiful, melancholy-inspired downtempo track and I only wonder what other musical offerings Bam Spacey and Karl X Johan could conjure.
