Tritonal Unveil Majestic Prog Trance Anthem, ‘Valkyrie’

You might still be reeling in shock from the masterpiece that was their previous single, ‘Long Way Home‘. In less than a month’s time, Tritonal are back with the firepower from the days of old, in the form of a pure progressive trancer, created for their Ultra Miami gig on the A State of Trance stage.

Although this tune has all the elements expected from a mainstage yet intimate trance tune, its crisp leads and soaring supersaws lend it the nostalgic and much-appreciated sound of the old-school 2011 Tritonal. A drawn-out melody spanning eight bars rather than the usual four and an impressive 7-minute long extended mix serve as testaments to the unadulterated trance genre that Tritonal are returning to.

The cover art of ‘Valkyrie’ adopts a different theme to the nature-centered covers of their previous three progressive singles; perhaps the confluence of a face, a wing and the sky allude to the mystical title. Hopefully, this thematic change was made due to the significantly more trance-esque feel that ‘Valkyrie’ adopts, a trend which will likely continue as their ASOT set approaches.

The Texan duo show no sign of stopping with these absolutely glorious releases anytime soon, having just taken a week off from touring to write ‘one record a day’. Make sure you tune into their Ultra Miami performance on the A State Of Trance stage in a month’s time.
