Watch Grimes In Video For New Single ‘Violence’ with i_o

Grimes aka Claire Elise Boucher is back with a brand new song, and she’s already serving us up with an epic mind-bending music video to accompany it. The song called ‘Violence’ is a collaboration with i_o and comes after Grimes teased new music was coming in a post saying ‘A new way to die”.

Grimes notably wiped all her Instagram posts with the announcement, it marks the start of cycle of new music from the talented artist ahead of an album Miss_Anthrop0cene. It’s a follow up to her 2015 LP release ‘Art Angels’, however she’s made a few appearances in between such as on Poppy’s debut album ‘Am I A Girl?’, Janelle Monae’s ‘Pynk’ and Bring Me To The Horizon’s ‘nihilist blues’.

Meanwhile her ‘Violence’ collaborator i_o recently released a stunning EP on Deadmau5’s Mau5trap imprint, and he further comes off the back of a collab with Jauz on Bite This and a remix for Above & Beyond.

Listen to Violence here via 4AD.
