On Sunday, the Meadows Stage hosted a historic debut—the world’s first appearance of The Bobby Weir Incident. The collaboration brought Bobby Weir and The String Cheese Incident together for two powerful sets in celebration of Phil Lesh’s legacy, creating a performance that felt both reverent and revolutionary.
And for the thrill-seekers, this year’s OFF LIMITS 360-stage set a bold new standard, delivering powerful Funktion One sound and mesmerizing Incendia pyro effects that turned up the heat on a lineup of surprise performances, including crowd-favorites like Chris Lake, Levity back-to-back with Eater, Ravenscoon, Of The Trees with Eazybaked, and many more. With its dynamic 360-degree setup nestled in the heart of Spirit Lake, the stage drew fans into an immersive musical experience from every angle. This wasn’t just a stage—it was a fully captivating arena of sound and light, offering some of the weekend’s most unforgettable sets and making it a can’t-miss spot for festival-goers seeking the finest music and wildest vibes of Hulaween!
Friday night at The Hallows Stage, festival-goers witnessed a bittersweet highlight as Tipper delivered one of his final festival performances, bringing both a sense of celebration and nostalgia. Over in Spirit Lake, art installations brought over 40 mesmerizing pieces of creativity to life—spectacular contributions from sculptors, fire and metal workers, painters, digital artists, and more. And each night, professional visual artists Jasper and Shelby Mosher transformed Spirit Lake with daily projection mapping shows that seemed to turn reality on its head.
But perhaps the most playful twist on Hulaween’s “Weir’d Science” theme came on Saturday when The String Cheese Incident transformed the stage with their show “How Weird,” joined by none other than Howard the Pig—a fittingly whimsical addition. Saturday also saw Sublime make their long-awaited Hulaween debut, with original members Eric and Bud performing alongside the late Bradley Nowell’s son, bringing fans both nostalgia and a new generation’s energy.
Meanwhile, Marc Brownstein, bassist of The Disco Biscuits, brought his own distinct flair to the festival, performing an eclectic DJ set under his DJ Brownie alias. His energetic beats and unexpected twists added a fresh vibe to a lineup already bursting with excitement, as Hulaween welcomed an impressive roster of debut performances from heavy-hitting headliners like Killer Mike, the soulful Black Pumas, deep house sensation Nora En Pure, and drum and bass icons Chase & Status.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Jason Hann joined forces with ElephantProof, Toubab Krewe, and the mesmerizing Spirit Like Fire Performers to bring ‘The Fire Within’ to life on Saturday night—a performance that made the entire evening glow with vibrant energy and boundless creativity.
