Esteemed music producer Wolfgang Gartner shared unfortunate yet positive news today, announcing that he’ll be checking into rehab for the second time.
As he says in his message to fans, he’s dealt with addiction since he was in his teens and was sober for 8 years between 2002-2010. For the past six years, he’s been in a period of “on-again-off-again sporadic drug and alcohol use and abuse,” which have gotten even worse in the past six months. It’s reason for his quietness the past years is now clear.
Of course this means that any upcoming gigs have been rightfully cancelled whilst he’s on his road to recovery. He left rehab in 2002 with positive results, lets hope that its the same this time around. He noted in his status his intention to return stronger and “better than ever.” We won’t be hearing from him for a while, but we hope that his rehab experience results in a positive outcome!
