Zedd & Jasmine Thompson Share Catchy Dance Pop Tune, ‘Funny’

Zedd hasn’t released music since Septermber last year, that changes today with his new track ‘Happy’ with UK singer/songwriter Jasmine Thompson (who shared a brilliant acoustic version).

The emotive single brings forward Jasmine’s evocative vocals, amidst classic Zedd instrumentation (from the crisp percussion and the bright supersaws). The drop sees a vocoders and vocal chops galore, in an undeniably catchy riff that’ll have you singing along instantly.

After an quiet 2019, releasing collaborations with Katy Perry and Kehlani – Zedd has also been quiet on the music front in 2020, which makes the imminent release of ‘Funny’ a cause for celebration. Zedd is supposedly working on his album which will likely see a release early next year.

Aged just 19, Jasmine Thompson’s vocals are incredible and the key ingredient in this song. Zedd definitely picked a collaborator with club pedigree. Jasmine landed her first dance hit as a 13-year-old in 2014 when she lent her voice to Robin Schulz’s ‘Sun Goes Down’ and then landed a worldwide smash the following year by teaming up with Felix Jaehn for ‘Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)’. Her biggest collaboration to date comes in tandem with Zedd in the form of his first single of 2020, ‘Funny’.
