Matthew Koma Calls Out Zedd For Bad Behaviour And Mistreatment


As listeners, we rarely have true insight into the “making of” behind our favorite tracks. We assume the relationships between the artists are positive, respectful, and equitable. Today, a light has been cast on these relationships and the dark inner-workings of music and entertainment as a whole by Matthew Koma. The Grammy Award-winner has issued a scathing statement on his former collaborator, Zedd.

The note shared on his Instagram states that Zedd failed to publicly credit Matthew for his contributions, blocked a collaboration from appearing on Matthew’s album, and held payment from Matthew for his work on Zedd’s break-out album, Clarity, which includes Matthew’s work on smash-hits, “Spectrum” and “Clarity”. Several prominent artists left words of encouragement including: Bebe Rexha, The Knocks, and Fitz and the Tantrums.
