BANKS Is Back With 'Gimme'

Ladies and gentlemen, BANKS is back! I want to scream this from the rooftops, as I’m sure many other BANKS fans are doing at the moment. Today she released “Gimme” following a premiere on Beats 1 as the “World Record” with Zane Lowe.

It’s been almost two years since we’ve been graced with new music from this badass bitch (her words, just read the lyrics) and she does not disappoint. She teamed up with Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, HAIM) to write this song and also joined forces with producers Hudson Mohawke (Kanye West, Drake) and BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Francis, and the Lights).

There’s a certain part of the production that reminds me of Justin Timberlake’s ‘My Love’. Like that song, this one also exudes sexiness. I love the signature BANKS darkness and fierceness in this track. She has this ability to put emotions and desires that we also feel into her music and to me, that’s what makes her music so damn catchy.

“‘Gimme’ is a song about getting what you want. It’s about knowing what you deserve, saying it out loud, and demanding it with no apologies. I’m ready to release this into the world and begin a new chapter,” says BANKS.

Modern Machines Releases Fresh Bouncey House Record 'Do It'

New York based Dj/Producer Modern Machines is back with another fresh release, this time included in ‘Heldeep Vibes Part 4‘.

The highly energetic features familiar vocals and a drop that hits hard for what you would classify as a future house record. This well produced banger will get a great crowd reaction whether it’s played!

This style is quite different from what Modern Machines usually outputs. The bouncey house style has been done well by many producers and in Modern Machine’s instance - it’s one of the better ones. Let’s hope for more records like his from him!

LMBO Drop Euphoric Fresh Beat With 'Still Love U'

Together with Peach Fumes, LMBO have released the first single from their debut EP. The entire EP will release through the Paradise Circus imprint which is backed by Universal Music Germany.

‘Still Love U‘ features a fresh sound in their electrifying electronic beats. The track embraces the vocals and the instrumental aims to showcase a whirlwind of heavy bass, off-beat synth waves, and polyrhythm percussion.

“Still Love U” is the first track off our upcoming EP “Ennui”. To us, “Still Love You” serves as an introduction to the vibe of the EP- it blends together some of the most important melodies from the rest of the tracks. Each song kind of represents something we were feeling in being overwhelmed by all of these new challenges and emotions in post-college life.”

‘Still Love U‘ is out now through Paradise Circus, keen an eye out for their EP dropping very soon.

Meet Eclectic Bass Trio "Mad Teeth" With Their New Single "Dirty Diamonds"

Today we meet forward thinking electronic trio ‘Mad Teeth’ with the release of their heaving catchy club weapon “Dirty Diamonds”, they fuse together a unique variety of elements of house, electronic and bass into what resonates as signature sound destined for late night club rooms across the globe.

Their sound is influenced by a rich tapestry of the underground sounds that they all grew up around, and while they might be starting fresh under the new moniker these Londoner’s are far from new, already boasting an extensive portfolio of writing and producer credits for the likes of Dirty South, Wretch 32, Tinie Tempah, Example, Sango, Yxng Bane, and Roll Deep amongst a long list of others.

As individuals, the members of ‘Mad Teeth’ all bring influences from across their respective arenas, channeled by their London postcodes. For Jess that was growing up in Bow on a diet of Wiley, Roll Deep and Dizzie Rascal; for Yash his sound is influenced by grime, garage and dance culture paired with his Mauritian and Indian upbringing in 90s London; and for David growing up in West London earning his stripes touring globally in as a keyboard / guitarist in Example’s band swiftly followed by a jaunt in Atlanta where he was signed by Ludacris’s team.

Word is it’s soon to be succeeded with a string of wall-to-wall dance floor, swag house anthems to propel them into 2019 and beyond. So hit play and give the a follow on Instagram to keep up with their latest here.

Tiësto Extends His EP With New Justin Caruso Collaboration

Having released his 8 track EP “Together” just after playing the Ultra Music Festival mainstage, the king of dance, Tiësto now adds another killer single to it post-release in an interesting move. Teaming up this time with close friend Justin Caruso they have recruited UK vocalist Kelli-Leigh, who’s been behind hits such as Duke Dumont’s “I Got U” and the mega hit “More Than Friends” with James Hype that now boasts almost 100 Million plays on Spotify alone.

‘Feels So Good‘ features Tiësto’s signature electro sound with elements of Justin Caruso’s typical uplifting style, and it encorporates an interesting array of sounds on a crazy catchy house beat. This single makes it 9 tracks on Tiësto latest EP, the many different collaborators make an eclectic range in terms of EDM sounds from Aazar’s heavy hitting “Diamonds” to the progressive leaning “Trouble” with 7 Skies.

This track was one of many unreleased tracks played by Tiësto at his sunset Ultra Mainstage set. Catch the video below to see the crowd go crazy!

Tiësto, Justin Caruso and Kelli-Leigh unite for ‘Feels So Good‘ - out now through Musical Freedom.

Don Diablo Links With Jessie J on New Single "Brave"

Don Diablo backs up an impressive year with a new crossover single featuring Jessie J called ‘Brave’, the single follows his club hit “Fever” with CID which was a Beatport #1 and one of the most played tracks at Miami Music Week.

The new single with English singer Jessie J is her first release for the year and comes out on Don’s label Hexagon in association with Republic Records. Don’s known for selecting interesting and unexpected collaborators for his crossover releases and this one is no different, however it’s not the first time they’ve worked together. Back in 2014 Don remixed her single “Burnin Up” with 2 Chains".

“Brave” is definitely a more stripped back friendly listen but the production still keeps the energy up enough to have us wanting to dance around. While it’s not a heaving aggressive club weapon as many of his fans will have no doubt desired, it’s a potential radio hit that will have a far reach on streaming and we’re sure remixes will be in tow or at least a harder hitting VIP from Don himself.

Martin Garrix Prepares Us For 'Summer Days' with Macklemore & Fall Out Boy + Lyric Video

After teasing it Monday following the syndicated announce, now Martin Garrix’s ‘Summer Days’ with Macklemore and Patrick Stump has arrived in its full glory for us to bathe in, all summer long. The funky pop tune had us tapping away almost instantly, opening with a mellow guitar intro into the silky punk voice of Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy Fame, ‘Summer Days’ transports you to a warmer place before flipping it up with a tougher layered guitar and euphoric synths. Macklemore’s feature unexpectedly blends just right on this masterpiece, and Martin Garrix shows off his pop prowess once again with his ability to produce radio anthems with as much style and creativity as he does his fierce electronic club weapons.

Enjoy it on Spotify or sing along with the lyric video right now below.

Not Your Ordinary Pop Song: Oriion’s “Siren Call” Delivers Raw, Unfiltered Emotion

In his latest single, “Siren Call”, Oriion explores what he describes as “one of the biggest and darkest times of [his] life”, all over a happy, down-to-earth pop groove.   According to Oriion, “Siren Call” is about what he refers to as “emotional addiction”, not being able to let someone go.  “The more I rejected him, the more resistant I was towards this feeling, the more I couldn't let go”, Oriion says.

One listen to the song at it’s clear that Oriion puts everything he has into his work.  The emotional complexities of his situation are laid bare in “Siren Call”.  Under the dark lyrics, however, is a friendly dance beat, complete with a deep baseline and bubbly melodic plucks. This contrast between the song’s subject matter and its instrumental adds to its captivating, emotionally raw nature.

Oriion’s musical style comes from his wide variety of influences.  Spending much of his life flying between Los Angeles, Berlin, and New York,  Oriion has adopted an international sound.  Musically, Oriion takes his cues from legendary pop innovators like Daft Punk, George Micheal, and Sade.  Since officially launching his musical project in 2017 with the release of “Live Another Life”, Oriion has accumulated hundreds of thousands of streams, as well as been supported by popular tastemakers like Spindle and tmrw magazine.

DJ Snake, Offset, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage & Sheck Wes Connect for 'Enzo'

The week of mega collaborations continues with DJ Snake unveiling new single ‘Enzo’, it follows the Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna featuring “Taki Taki” and is no doubt another single taken off what will be his yet to be named sophomore studio album which is expected to arrive this year.

Teaming up with Sheck Wes and featuring Offset, 21 Savage and Gucci Mane, DJ Snake presents us with a low slung, catchy bop about fast cars. According to his Zane Lowe interview there is already a music video in the works which will feature many black and white models of the cars, if his past videos are anything to go by the internet will eat it up.

‘Enzo’ shows DJ Snake is continuing to recruit star-studded features from outside the dance world. An effort that will no doubt continue to take the Parisian artist to new heights, albeit the track has a fairly stripped back beat and leans heavily on the features. A move that makes a lot of sense with the collective talent on the record, and given we are in a currently hip hop dominated mainstream market it could be another one that racks up billions of streams worldwide.

Helix Wins Dannic Competition with Hard Hitting Remix

Hailing from Florence, Italy - Elia Paoli aka Helix is a 14 year old producer who is making waves in the dance music scene. With support from Kryder, Sunstars, Saberz and most recently Dannic having won his ‘Tenderlove‘ Remix Competition.

Dannic presented the opportunity for producers to remix his Spinnin’ Records release ‘Tenderlove‘ and be featured on his Soundcloud and on his radio show. With a large number of submission, Helix’s quality stood out against the competition. The remix features a unique hard hitting drop, almost a mix between the classic big room sound and a gritty bass house sound.

We asked Helix a few questions about his newly established career and winning the Dannic remix competition.

Being such a talented producer at the age of 14 is no small feat, how did you learn?

Thank you so much !!! I started producing almost 1 year and a half ago and I learnt a lot from tutorials on youtube and Producers' masterclasses during ADE.

What inspired the Dannic remix, are you a big fan?

Dannic had been running a remix competition where the producers had the opportunity to remix his single ‘Tenderlove’ and I immediately downloaded the stems and I started making the remix. Also Dannic has been one of the first artists I've ever listened to when I started becoming interested in EDM and my favorite song from him is ‘NRG’.

What can we expect next from you?

My biggest goals so far for this year are making people happy with my music and to develop my new style, which is called HXhouse, and you can expect a lot of fresh new music in the next months!

We have heard a lot about your manager? What has he done?

My manager, Andrea Malenchini, is helping me a lot, with promos, contacts, motivation and as well with his experience he suggested me to start producing a new sound and not following the ‘mass’ with common sounds. He’s one of the people who has always believed in me since the very beginning.

The Chainsmokers Are Dropping A New Song On Friday

We all love a surprise release, well perhaps it’s because we aren’t that good at waiting anymore. On top of the newly announced Martin Garrix, Fall Out Boy and Macklemore collab, as well as Tiesto & Justin Caruso’s ‘Feels So Good’, The Chainsmokers have now hinted quite clearly at new music in the coming days via their instagram, posting “Should We Drop a New Song This Friday'“ along with movie style action packed trailer that revealed little bits of many songs.

By measure of the comments, fans are clearly hungry for their highly anticipated collaboration with Illenium, however their Ultra set was jam packed with ID’s and new collaborations, so it could be anyone of them - or all of them however in hindsight the fact Illenium pushed out two music video’s in the past week would suggest he’s trying to clear his schedule to make way for their epic collaboration.

Yung Pretender Presents His New Single 'Interrupt Me' on Ultra Music

New UK prodigy Yung Pretender has released his first single for 2019 ‘Interrupt Me’, delivering a fresh tech-house vibe. The track was picked up and released through well known label Ultra Music.

Only having a handful of remixes and originals since his launch in 2018, Yung Pretender has seemed to incorporate a current and fresh approach to his sound. As heard in the release, it’s got everything thing you would want in a club track, tight drums, hefty bass drops and edgy vocals.

Having been signed with Ultra in his early stages, Yung Pretender seems destined for success. With Ultra having had a large majority of dance musics A-listers such as Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Avicii, and many more, it’s become a great breeding ground for young and emerging talent.

We will be definitely keeping an eye out for more Yung Pretender.

Today ILLENIUM releases the official music video and remix package for  “Pray” featuring Kameron Alexander. On the remixes he recruits one of our favourites - Blanke and introduces us to both Sam Lamar, and Frequent. Each remix adds another new dimension to “Pray.

Been hell appreciative of this guys support for the past year or so. From playing my records in his sets, to taking me on tour around aus and playing in hawaii, to catching dinner and a movie after ultra in syd haha.
Having the opportunity to remix one of his records is an absolute trip and a pleasure and im really proud of this. - Blanke

Kicking it off Blanke injects a high-octane energy into the original, Lamar’s take twists and turns from haunting, soulful evocations towards a climactic and caustic dubstep break. Jaydon Lewis Dazzles with remix of Young Bombs' ‘Starry Eyes’

Jaydon Lewis returns triumphantly with an official remix of ‘Starry Eyes,’ by Young Bombs, out now on Astralwerks. This is one banger of a transformation--the 18-year-old prodigy's experimental production strikes a distinct and arresting balance between delicate pop stylings and rip-roaring trap beats. This multi-layered composition is a showcase for Lewis' stylistic range, and his talent for finding a sound that is both timeless and timely.

Young Bombs have been making serious noise since 2016 with a string of highly successful remixes for artists like Alessia Cara and The Chainsmokers. A month ago, the Canadian duo released their debut single, 'Starry Eyes,' to worldwide praise and DJ support. While we eagerly await their next venture from Astralwerks, give Jaydon's remix a listen, and check out his thoughts below.

My initial idea for this remix was to make it powerful while not losing the essence of the original track. I'm super happy with the final result and I hope everyone enjoys the final product. Thanks again to Young Bombs for bringing me on-board this remix pack.

Quentyn Finally Releases Highly Anticipated Record 'Higher Ground'
Annotation 2019-04-19 205542.jpg

Dutch artist Quentyn, previously known as as one half of Volt & State, is back with a track that has finally seen the light of day. What was originally thought to be a collaboration between Volt & State and Marcus Santoro was played at ADE 2015. After creating a matching melody, Quentyn was able to finally release this hit.

Premiered by Nicky Romero at Ultra 2019, ‘Higher Ground‘ incorporates melodic progressive house that Quentyn and Volt & State were known for. Strong vocals accompany the delightful melody. The builds tease the melody and the drop packs the energy you’re looking for in a record like this. As seen when Nicky Romero played this at Ultra, this track will get a great reaction when dropped at festivals.

The ‘Progressive House‘ version of the track is out now, with an alternative version coming later.

Thomas Gold & Angger Dimas Come Together for 'HI LO'

Announced last week by Hardwell as one of his favourite tracks of the moment on Hardwell On Air is ‘HI LO’ a brand new hard hitting electro festival anthem from German artist Thomas Gold and Indonesia’s Angger Dimas, released today via Revealed Recordings.

Angger Dimas grew to fame with with his signature tribal dutch and electro house sounds dating back to 2009 and has gone on to release collaborations with Diplo, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Nervo. Meanwhile Thomas Gold has maintained a steady output of releases through imprints such as Protocol, Armada and ‘HI LO‘ marks his return to Revealed since 2015 release ‘Believe’ featuring Bright Lights.

“HI LO” is an interesting collaboration with high intensity tribal drums signature to Angger blended with Thomas driving progressive sounds. We’ll no doubt see this one in festival sets across the summer.
