Cloonee Continues Meteoric Rise With Debut Album ‘Are You Still You?’
UK-born, LA-based DJ and producer Cloonee has officially released his much-anticipated debut album, Are You Still You?. The project marks his first full-length venture – it serves as a pivotal milestone in his career, highlighting his expanding signature sound and pushing the limits of modern house music.
Are You Still You? stands as a testament to the artistic evolution of one of dance music’s most dynamic figures. By merging his trademark production style with a deeply personal and expansive creative vision, the record reflects his trajectory from intimate underground club gigs to headlining massive international stages. The album’s focal point is ‘Paradise’, a massive collaboration with house music heavyweight Chris Lake as well as Aliyah’s Interlude. This standout track combines a hypnotic vocal hook with a propulsive groove, an elastic bassline, and euphoric tension. It operates as the centrepiece of the album, illustrating Cloonee’s transition from a breakout club favourite to an industry leader.
One comment I’ve seen throughout my career is, ‘bring back the old Cloonee,’” says Cloonee. “The funny thing though, there’s an equal amount of people that ask for a different Cloonee, this Cloonee & that Cloonee. Leading up to the release, fans were treated to a string of successful singles, including ‘Good Girl’ featuring Prospa, ‘Get Up and Dance’, ‘Back of the Club’, and ‘Movimiento’ featuring Yandel and Atlac. The rollout gained immense momentum right out of the gate, with ‘Good Girl’ alone amassing 1.5 million streams within its first week.
This monumental release crowns an incredible period of growth for the highly sought-after artist.
