Seven Lions Unveils New EP ‘The Dreams Strange and Eternal’

Melodic bass pioneer Seven Lions has officially released his latest EP, ‘The Dreams Strange and Eternal’, acting as a profound narrative expansion to his 2025 sophomore album, ‘Asleep in the Garden of Infernal Stars’. The new project serves as both a bridge and a companion piece, deepening the immersive world-building and emotional storytelling that have become the hallmarks of Jeff Montalvo’s recent work.

The EP’s arrival was heralded by two distinct singles that showcased the breadth of the Seven Lions sound. Fans were first treated to ‘Hurricane’, a trance-infused collaboration with Andrew Bayer and OAKS that captured a sense of pure euphoria. This was followed by ‘Free’, a genre-defying collaboration with Brieanna Grace that seamlessly wove together the various sonic textures Montalvo has mastered over the last decade. To further engage his community, Seven Lions launched a remix contest for ‘Free’, with the winning submission slated for an official release on his own Ophelia Records imprint on May 12.

Across the six tracks, ‘The Dreams Strange and Eternal’ offers a cohesive and cinematic listening experience. It opens with the atmospheric ‘A Crown of Seven Moons’ before transitioning into the previously released singles and a selection of fresh material. The track ‘Summer’ reunites Montalvo with OAKS for a driving, up-tempo electro record, while ‘Dreams’ takes a more experimental turn by blending Eurodance influences with heavy dubstep elements. The journey concludes with the title track, ‘Strange and Eternal’, providing a rich and evocative soundscape that brings the project to a definitive close.
