Skrillex Drops Brand New LP ‘SOMA’

Skrillex has officially shifted the electronic music landscape once again with the arrival of his highly anticipated studio album, SOMA. Arriving via OWSLA and Atlantic Records, the 13-track, 42-minute project represents a massive milestone in Sonny Moore’s hyper-productive modern era, serving as a cohesive body of work that bridges the gap between global festival anthems and gritty underground club experimentation.
By the time the album officially landed on streaming platforms, several key puzzle pieces had already been established as singles. Tracks like ‘Thistle’, the massive ISOxo collaboration ‘Smoke’, and the Latin-infused energy of ‘Duro’ had already been circulating, allowing fans to understand the multi-region, cross-continental sonic palette Skrillex was building.
The full guest list across the 13 tracks functions as a brilliant cross-section of global music, uniting mainstage icons, underground innovators, and distinct vocalists from multiple continents. The album features production and vocal contributions from ISOxo, Chris Lake, Nitepunk, Blawan, Randomer, Dismantle, Rom, Tracey, and RHR. On the vocal front, the record leans heavily into global club textures with appearances from Colombian superstar Feid (on ‘Noche Without You’, which samples Robert Miles’ ‘Children’), Puerto Rican artist Young Miko, UK drill talents Cristale and TeeZandos, Jamaican singer Beam, Brazilian powerhouse MC Dricka, and rising vocalists Naisha, ANITA B QUEEN, and TAICHU.
SOMA arrives following the debut of CONTRA, Skrillex’s newly launched event platform in collaboration with Berlin Atonal, which took place May 30–31 at Kraftwerk Berlin.
