Tomorrowland Unveils ‘The Odes of Orbyz’, New Festival Novel for 2025 Theme

Tomorrowland has announced the release of a new limited-edition fantasy novel, ‘The Odes of Orbyz’, which will serve as the origin story for the festival’s 2025 theme, ‘Orbyz’. This marks the third novel released by Tomorrowland, following ‘The Spirit of Life’ and ‘The Rise of Adscendo’, which were the themes of previous years of the festival.

‘The Odes of Orbyz’ is set in the subterranean city of Nymbuz, described as a glacial realm of snow and ice. The narrative centres on Tybla, a warrior, as she investigates a series of disappearances and a mine explosion that threatens her community. The story explores themes of courage and friendship, as Tybla encounters a nomad from the Surface, challenging her perceptions and potentially impacting the fate of her world.

The 300+ page hardback edition includes festival artwork, an illustrated glossary, and two maps of the realm of Orbyz. It also features sprayed edges, intended to make it a collector’s item. The novel is available in both English and Dutch editions.

The release of ‘The Odes of Orbyz’ aims to provide festival-goers with a deeper understanding of the 2025 theme before attending Tomorrowland Belgium, which is scheduled for two weekends in July 2025 (July 18-20 and July 25-27). Elements and imagery from the book are expected to be integrated into the festival’s design, including the Mainstage, to enhance the immersive experience. Beyond festival attendees, the novel is also being marketed to fantasy readers globally as a standalone story within the Tomorrowland universe.

The Odes of Orbyz is available via store.tomorrowland.com/pages/books.
