“When I first started writing this album, I wanted it to feel open format,” yetep shares. “I started my music career making mixes on SoundCloud and posting them on Tumblr, just playing whatever I loved with no genre rules at all. That freedom is what made me fall in love with music in the first place. With this album, I wanted to bring that same energy back, the way my live sets feel. It’s all over the place on purpose. It’s genreless, and I’m really proud of that. There’s something on this album for everyone, and I think that’s what makes it special.”
Throughout the album’s rollout, yetep has continued to keep community-centred in everything he does. This vital mission extends far beyond the music itself through his Common Unitÿ charitable initiatives, which actively provide aid to homeless youth and raise awareness around mental health. “This album came together over a long period of time and reflects where I am both musically and personally,” yetep explains. “Rather than starting with a strict concept, I wanted to let the project develop naturally and feel open, the same way my relationship with music began. At its core, this album is about connection and honesty, and creating space for listeners to take away whatever the music means to them.”
