Deezer Releases Female-led Round of Mixes for their DJ Mix Series

Deezer has been at the forefront of creator and technology advancement. Most recently, they released the breathtaking 360 Reality Audio, a first for the industry. Before that, they kept us entertained through the on-going lockdowns with curated channels like Workout With and Stay At Home with the former boosting playlists from a who’s who of acts to motivate us to work out and the latter brimming with podcasts, playlists, and radio to captivate our minds. Now, its continued commitment to inclusion takes centerstage as Deezer elevates a myriad of female creators on their most recent DJ Mix series release.

2020 may have started out poorly on the global political scale, but music, entertainment, and culture thrived. Deezer closed-out 2019 and kicked off the new year by starting and releasing their DJ Mix series. The series has seen Oliver Heldens, Above & Beyond, Modeselektor, and Mark Knight all grace the virtual Deezer decks during its lifespan. Their most recent release brings activation from their commitment to inclusion, led by a female-centric group.

The new drop brings us premiere mixes from the likes of trance-god Armin van Buuren, trendy EDM-darlings Loud Luxury, British electronic-legend Radio Slave, and renowned club and underground figure Kerri Chandler. Nestled amongst these acts are two of the most talented female DJs in today’s game: Sam Divine and Henri Bergmann. Divine has risen from the depths of House-realm defined by Ibiza-sets and support from the crème de la crème House label, Defected Records. Bergmann comes from the subsection of House and Techno where she has released beautifully poignant and hopeful records glistening with penetrative and emotive qualities, which includes the standout remix of Sofi Tukker’s “Benadryl”.

The standard for each DJ Mix drop from Deezer is their commitment to fair pay for all creators, which is done through the user-centric payment system model. Every act featured in these mixes will be paid a fair royalty based on the streams each mix receives. It’s another strong feature highlighting Deezer’s commitment to artists.
