Denali, Gracie Van Brunt & Kaz Gamble Team Up For ‘Distant Memory’

Electronic duo Denali, acclaimed vocalist Gracie Van Brunt, and producer Kaz Gamble have teamed up for their latest release; ‘Distant Memory’, a liquid drum and bass track that blends ethereal soundscapes with emotional depth.
Inspired by their deep appreciation for nature, the trio set out to craft a sonic experience that mirrors the feeling of drifting through vast landscapes—whether deep in a secluded forest or out on the open sea. In describing their inspiration for the track, Denali mentioned, “the goal for this song was to create an experience for the listener that resembles the sensation of floating amongst nature. There is a certain endlessness that you can experience being situated within a far-out forest or out at sea. We wanted to replicate that and came to the conclusion that Liquid Drum n’ Bass would be the perfect way to turn that vision into something tangible.”
Lyrically, Gracie Van Brunt’s evocative writing explores the imagery of someone lost at sea—trapped in the tides of their own thoughts and memories—until a loved one reaches out, pulling them back to shore. The contrast between the track’s airy, flowing instrumentation and its poignant lyrics creates a sense of emotional release, making ‘Distant Memory’ a journey from isolation to salvation.
