From Anonymous Producer to 1 Billion Streams: A Personal Conversation with ATLXS

At 17, ATLXS made a decision that could have ended his story before it began.
He walked away from school because music felt like the only path that made sense.
Today, the anonymous producer commands over 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify & 900 Million monthly audience on Youtube music, with a catalog that includes “Passo Bem Solto” a record whose slowed version alone has surpassed 419 million streams and climbed to #3 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. But the numbers came later.
We sat down with ATLXS to talk about the moments behind the milestones.
Music Was The Only Thing That Made Sense
There’s a difference between liking something and needing it. Long before millions were listening, there was just a teenager building sound because it felt like the only place he fully belonged.
“Honestly, it became more than a hobby when I realized it was the only thing I actually wanted to do,” he says. “I wasn’t interested in anything else. Music, especially producing, gave me a sense of freedom I couldn’t find anywhere else. Once I felt that, I knew I had to take it seriously.”
For ATLXS, music quickly turned into something he couldn’t walk away from, a realization many creatives experience before the world ever sees the results.
Leaving School at 17
Looking back, ATLXS says the defining moment was the decision to leave school & commint to music full time.
“I saw it as a point of no return,” he explains. “School was giving me more stress than direction. I never felt aligned with that path. I knew what I wanted, and I didn’t want to waste time going somewhere that wasn’t mine. Music gave me freedom, and I wanted to build something for myself.”
ATLXS now generates over 12 Million monthly streams, placing him in the top 0.01% of all Spotify creators.

The Moment The Success Became Real
ATLXS productions have been the sound tracks to countless gym edits, cinematic car reels, anime battles, and viral trends. The slowed version alone surpassed 419 million streams, while the original added over 82 million more but what was the first time he knew things were changing?
“I realized the growth was real when one of my songs became the most popular in its genre and started going viral globally,” he says. “Seeing thousands of trends being created around it made me understand it was bigger than just a moment it was reaching people worldwide.”
That song was “Passo Bem Solto.”
With thousands of creators resonative with his creation to represent their content. This was more than just streaming numbers, rather this shows the change the modern era of music has undergone.

First Billboard Success
Then came the moment that made it official.
“It felt unreal,” ATLXS says of seeing “Passo Bem Solto” hit #3 on Billboard. “I was checking every day, hoping it could reach number one, but seeing it at #3 was still an incredible moment. It made me realize how far things had come.”
For someone who once produced alone in his room, watching his record climb charts while dominating streaming platforms felt surreal and it wasn’t an isolated spike.
Tracks like “Montagem Bailão” (198M+ streams) and “Montagem Ladrao” (80M+ streams, plus 73M+ for the slowed version) showed that ATLXS was building something durable.
Biggest Musical Influences
When asked about his inspiration ATLXS doesn’t credit his success to copying trends.
“I wouldn’t say I have specific artist influences,” he says. “My biggest influence has been experimental music in general. I spent a long time exploring different sounds and genres, and that shaped my style.”
Like most of the greats, his willingness to experiment and refine became the backbone of a sound that now draws more than 12 million listeners every month.
When asked what makes his records instantly recognizable, he points to balance.
“It’s about being innovative but still commercial. I want it to feel original and recognizable, but also connect with a wide audience.”
There’s no doubt this approach lead to an instantly recognisable sound that is truly his.
How Brotherhood Amplified Momentum
Meeting producer MXZI added another dimension.
“When I met MXZI, I immediately noticed how rare our connection was,” ATLXS says. “We were in very similar situations. Even before any success, we promised each other we would make it and build something big together. Creatively, that pushed me to think bigger and stay consistent.”
That partnership helped fuel what fans now recognize as the “Ladrao style” wave expanding the sound and amplifying its global reach!

Remaining Faceless
Unlike most artists, ATLXS chose the “Daft Punk” approach to always keep his face hidden.
“I’ve always valued my privacy,” he says. “I like the idea that something big can come from someone nobody really knows. It keeps the focus on the music.”
And somehow, that restraint made the music louder & speaks volumes about his maturity at such a young age!

Inspiring Young Artists
Looking back at the last two years, the streams, the charts, the global recognition ATLXS doesn’t hesitate when asked what stands out most.
“Leaving school,” he says. “That decision changed everything.”
When asked what he hopes to be remembered for, his answer isn’t about numbers.
“Taking risks,” he says. “If my journey inspires other young artists to believe in themselves and go all in, that’s what matters.”
From the outside, success in the streaming era can look mechanical — streams, charts, certifications.
But behind 12 million monthly listeners is still a 18-year-old who chose belief over safety.
ATLXS made that choice.
And the world is still pressing play.
