In the world of bigroom, arguably the most-awaited mix compilation every year comes from Revealed. Featuring a few Hardwell releases and summarizing the sound of Revealed and (bigroom in general) over the previous few months, these mix compilations are a succinct and uninterrupted journey in sound, crafted for bigroom fanatics. With the song choices in each compilation leaning towards different and newfound trends, listeners also get an idea of the progression of the genre of bigroom house as a whole over time.
Hardwell has compiled his favorite releases over the past few months as a part of his annual Revealed compilation, now in its tenth edition. Revealed Volume 10 boasts no less than 29 tracks, seven of which are original Hardwell productions (two of them brand new singles!).
Including the fan-favorite (mega-throwback) Hardwell tune, ‘Retrograde‘, as well as his more melodic offerings, including ‘Being Alive ft. JGUAR‘, Revealed Volume 10 was also used as an opportunity to unleash brand new music to the world with the boss himself dropping two new tunes. The first is a big-room banger with Richie Loop titled ‘Drop To The Floor‘. Deep, heavy basslines and a gritty electro-house lead makes this record perfect for mighty festivals across the globe. The second, ‘Go To War‘ with Revealed mainstay Suyano, is a progressive house-big room hybrid, which combines catchy vocals with a distorted, crisp lead in a pounding drop.
Other noteworthy names in the compilation include Tiesto, SWACQ, Maddix, Ryos, Mike Williams, REGGIO, Kaaze and Maurice West. This Revealed mix comp includes six tracks which were released on labels other than Revealed, such as Headhunterz’s ‘Oxygen‘ on Art of Creation, Tiesto & SWACQ’s ‘Party Time‘ on Musical Freedom and W&W x Maurice West’s ‘The Matrix‘ on Rave Culture, which goes to show how Hardwell has mixed this compilation to be a true representation of the bigroom, energetic festival sound that’s rocking the world in 2019.
